English programs

Another reason why Germany is considered a highly preferable destination for international students to study is having a huge number of English programs, according to the recent report, there are more than 1450 programs are completely taught in English [ref. DAAD website]. This wonderful opportunity allows many students jumping into the German universities without any delay or restriction if they have fulfill requirements admissions.

If you are planning to apply for an English-taught program in the German universities, you have to take these requirements into account:

  1. A recognized diploma/qualification
  2. Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.)
  3. Transcripts of your grades (certified)
  4. Other documents a.g. CV, motivation letter, etc.

The common required English certificates are TOEFL with min. 80 points (IBT), 550 points (written), 213 points (computer-based) or IELTS with min. 6.0. If you are applying to postgraduate programs the scores are set higher compared to undergraduate programs. Only the university can decide the minimum scores.
